About us
Our Story
Many years ago, our founder Eugene, was privileged to work in primary schools. Through this work she discovered that she had an innate love and passion for working with young children. Once she had her own children, and chose to partner with them on their journey of mastery, she realized that teaching was her vocation. This is what inspired her to study towards a Bachelor degree in Education (Foundation phase).
As a working mom living in Muizenberg, Cape Town, she was confronted with many challenges. It was difficult for her to find a school that accomodated her working schedule, her place was too small to work with a live in nanny and she could not find a school that matched her values at an affordable price.

She decided to do some research and realized that this was a reality for many parents. This is how Little Masters Academy was born, it was born out of a desire to serve the community and provide a space where children could master their learning in a home away from home.
Our mission
Creating nurturing environments where children can master learning
We believe in developing a young child holistically, including physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and morally. We aim to provide a safe, secure space where children can explore freely. We partner with parents to prepare young children for success at school and later in life.

OUR APPROACH
- Play is the work of children
It is through play that children make sense of their world something we all need to become the best we can be.
- Future-proof skills
Our curriculum model prepares children for future 21st century careers. We develop thinking skills, use of technology and interpersonal skills to help prepare children for the future. We believe in developing a child holistically, our development areas include social, emotional, cognitive, perceptual as well as physical development which are all critical building blocks for all future learning.
- Happy Spaces
We provide well-equipped spaces for exploration, quiet time, reading, perceptual development, fantasy play, construction and creativity. Our classrooms are inviting, warm, friendly and happy where autonomous and self-directed learning is encouraged.
